A Message from Jo

What retail therapy does for most girls, baking therapy does for Jo. “It’s pure joy being able to stay up in the wee hours of the morning, perfecting the icing on a freshly baked cake and surprising a loved one with it in the morning. I think it’s my love language, the way to say “I love you” to those who matter to me,” says Jo.

While there is more to life than just being a wife, a mum or even an entrepreneur, she believes that if you follow your passion with a motive to serve others, you can’t go wrong. It is with this belief that Jo is committed to making the tastiest cupcakes for your everyday treat and the prettiest cupcakes for your special occasion.

About Ben

A passionate and firm believer in branding, having spent his entire career building brands with various organizations. Cupcake Chic is Ben’s dream come true in his attempt at creating and nurturing a brand from scratch. A deep desire to be an entrepreneur since his university days coupled with his passion in food/ beverages during his time with a soft drink giant steered Ben towards making Cupcake Chic a reality with his wife and business partner, Jo. Prior to joining Jo at Cupcake Chic, Ben was the Marketing Director of McDonald’s Malaysia, working with a talented team amidst an economic slowdown to achieve sustainable growth in sales and profits. Ben and Jo live in Kuala Lumpur with their 2 sons, Zachary and Jaden.
